Discover the Richness of Cantabria in Every Glass

Cantabria Brinda takes part every Thursday in Maridaje Cántabro, a unique event that brings together local producers and serves as a meeting point for the region’s beverage makers. At this event, lovers of fine flavors can discover and taste some of Cantabria’s most emblematic products.

Each week, the gathering brings together between two and four of the 19 producers that make up the association, showcasing their products. Wineries, craft breweries, and distilleries present the diversity of the local offering: wines, beers, liqueurs, and orujos.

The association is made up of Bodega Bahía de Santander, Bodega Camesía, Bodegas Hortanza, Bodegas Miradorio, Bodegas y Destilería Orulisa, Cerveza DouGall’s, Cervezas Rocker Beer, Cervezas Redneck Brewery, Cervezas Smach, Orujos El Coterón, La Flor de Limón, Pago Casa del Blanco, Picos de Cabariezo, Destilería Siderit, Sidra Somarroza, Destilería Sierra del Oso, Viña Carmina, Casona Micaela, and Bodegas Sel D’Aiz.

During the tastings, producers present a selection of their products and explain the production process behind each one. Attendees have the opportunity to ask questions and discover interesting details — from grape varieties and maceration times to ingredient cultivation, distillation techniques, and preservation methods.

These events are supported by the Agri-food Office of CEOE-CEPYME Cantabria, and also feature the participation of producers from Cantabria Quesera. It is an excellent way to promote local products and encourage direct contact between producers and consumers.

Each week, Maridaje Cántabro becomes a meeting point for lovers of fine drinks and regional gastronomy, offering the chance to learn, enjoy, and support Cantabrian producers.

In addition, some wineries offer guided tours of their facilities, showing visitors the barrels, fermentation processes, and the vineyards or crops where raw materials are grown. These experiences allow the public to discover first-hand the dedication and passion behind every bottle.
